It is with sadness we announce the sudden death of Jean-Guy Beaudry, at the age of 68 years, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Jean-Guy, also known as “Tarz” to many, had a larger than life personality and could always be counted on for a good time. He loved spending time in the outdoors, going for snowmobile and four-wheeler rides, and especially fishing. He was an avid angler who loved to fish in any season, and he was always happy to cook up his catch to share with family and friends. He was a hard worker and could be found either operating a loader or tractor, working in the field, or splitting wood.
Jean-Guy will be greatly missed by his children: Tania Leblanc (Mario) of North Cobalt and Loriane Neddo (Trevor) of Cobalt; his grandchildren: Emma, Mia, Erica, Wesley, and Hailey; his siblings: Fernande Gauthier of Garson, Rollande Debernardi of New Liskeard, Jeannine Descoteaux of Aylmer QC, Jeanne D’Arc Beaudry (Laurent Jubinville) of Thornloe, and Victor Beaudry (Louise Trudel) of Earlton; the mother of his children, Colette; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raoul Beaudry and Emilda Loranger; one brother Maurice Beaudry and one sister Pierrette Beaudry.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place at the Lakeview Crematorium. A private celebration of Jean-Guy’s life will be held at a later date. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association as expressions of sympathy. Condolences and contributions may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.

Jean-Guy, connu également comme “Tarz” par plusieurs gens, avait une personnalité plus grande que nature, sur qui l’on pouvait compter pour avoir du bon temps. Il aimait passer du temps en plein air, faire des randonnées en motoneige et en quatre-roues, et surtout aller à la pêche. Jean-Guy était un avide pêcheur à la ligne qui aimait pratiquer ce sport en toutes saisons, et il était toujours heureux de sa prise avec sa famille et ses amis. Il était un bon travaillant qu’on pouvait trouver aux commandes d’un tracteur ou d’une chargeuse, à l’œuvre dans un champ ou à fendre du bois.
Jean-Guy manquera grandement à ses enfants Tania Leblanc (Mario) de North Cobalt et Loriane Neddo (Trevor) de Cobalt; ses petits-enfants Emma, Mia, Erica, Wesley, et Hailey; ses sœurs Fernande Gauthier de Garson, Rollande Debernardi de New Liskeard, Jeannine Descoteaux d’Aylmer QC, et Jeanne D’Arc Beaudry (Laurent Jubinville) de Thornloe; un frère, Victor Beaudry (Louise Trudel) de Earlton; la mère de ses enfants, Colette; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

En respectant ses vœux, la crémation a eu lieu au Crématoire Lakeview. Une célébration privée de la vie de Jean-Guy, aura lieu à une date ultérieure. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons à l’Association Canadienne pour la Santé Mentale comme témoignages de sympathie.
