Obituary
It is with much sadness that the family of Janette Allaby announce her peaceful passing which occurred on March 01, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born on September 06, 1940, and was the daughter of Jack and Muriel (Tays) Allaby, of Saint John, NB .
Janette was always a happy person, smiling and supportive to her friends, family, and her church community. She loved her job of 40 years as the Office Manager in the office of Dr. Sean Keyes Sr.
As a prayer warrior with the Lancaster Baptist Church, Janette was committed to her fundraising and involvement with reuniting refugees with their families, and providing for their needs.
She loved family get togethers, whether it was for a meal at home, a restaurant or on a hike and picnic, especially when shared with her beloved great nieces and nephew (Madalynn Allaby, Erik Foote and Claudia Foote).
An avid traveller, she explored Canada, USA and Europe and loved time spent with her dearest friends Lee Ross and Sheryl.
She is survived by her 3 nephews, Geoffrey Foote (Deanna), Peter Foote (Erinna) and Chris Foote.
In addition to her parents, Janette is predeceased by her sister Elaine (Ray) and brother Terrence (Lorna).
Our family wishes to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home for the compassion and care provided to both Janette and our family.
A memorial will follow a date to be announced when family and friends can be together to celebrate her life.
