Jan Edward Van Boven of Hamilton and formerly of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the age of 62. Jan is the son of the late Arthur Van Boven & Patricia Mckerracher. Beloved husband of Kathleen Rayner-Van Boven. Father of Jan Jr., Cheryl and Yvonne. Stepfather of Joan Privett and Joey Privett. He will be remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear friend of Roxanne Privett. Brother of Darren Van Boven and Michelle Hayes. Jan loved the outdoors, fishing and camping with his dog. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Sunday, January 22 from 11:30 – the funeral at 1 PM. Cremation to follow with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sombra at a later date. A celebration of Jan’s life will be held in Hamilton in the spring.
