Latter, James “Jimmy” W. – Age 75 of Musquodoboit Harbour passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 13, 2023
Born in Eastern Passage, Jimmy was a son of the late Lloyd & Ellen (Philpitt) Latter.
Jimmy was a lover of antique cars, driving and working on them. He passed his skills on to his son and grandsons who are so grateful for what he taught them. He enjoyed going to car shows and meeting up with old friends that he had for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, and all animals especially wildlife. He was always happiest when surrounded by his family.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Stephen (Amy Young); grandchildren, Coedy and Dawson of Musquodoboit Harbour; his sisters, Barb Merlin (Paul Rolfe) of Conrod Settlement; Denise Jones of Dartmouth.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Beverly “Bev” Latter (Dunbrack) Latter; and brother, Reginald “Reggie” (Marilyn MacDow) Latter; and brother-in-law, Daniel “Danny” Jones.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Home, Upper Musquodoboit.

  1. Our condolences to Steve, Amy, Coedy, and Dawson. You are all in our hearts as is Jim. We feel blessed to have had the joy of knowing Jim and sharing many stories back and forth with him about cars and backyard wildlife. Rest in peace our friend.
