Obituary
HOWARD – James of Gore Bay passed away on June 1, 2023.
He was in hospital with kidney failure and other issues.
Beloved brother of Roger of Mindemoya, Sally (Jim) Lanktree, Cathy Haskett all of Gore Bay, the late Edward of Sudbury, the late Marlene and Ken of Guelph,
the late Alfred Jr. (Tracey) of Guelph, Jerry (Michelle) of Newfoundland, Christopher (Lesley) of Fenelon Falls, and Paula Howard (Gary) of Bowmanville.
Jimmy will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Leta (Brandow) Howard.
Jimmy will also be missed by many staff at the Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay. He loved to sit in the lobby and greet the visitors and play bingo.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Mindemoya Hospital for his care.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Simpson Funeral Home in Gore Bay.
Memorial donations may be made to the Angel Bus as expressions of sympathy and can be made through www.manitoulinauxiliary.org/.
