James Clifford Berry, age 92, of Mascot, TN, passed away May 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1931 in Sevier County to the late Luther Wesley Berry and Bertha Gertrude Stalans Berry. Clifford was a life-long member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Edith Jeanette Witt Berry; brothers Jimmy Berry, Luther W. Berry, Douglas Berry and Cecil Berry; sisters Sammie Lou Graves, Sarah Ellen Hicks and Jessie Ogle. Mr. Berry is survived by his sons and their spouses; Ronnie and Trish Berry and David and Linda Berry; brother Beecher Berry; granddaughter and spouse Brandy & Michael Humphrey; and great grandson Tanner Humphrey. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 7:00PM at Bridges Funeral Home with Dr. Alan England and Rev. Hartsell McCurry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM on Thursday at Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Mascot for a 2:00 PM interment. Serving as pallbearers will be Tanner Humphrey, Chuck Berry, Josh Walker, Jamie Berry, Ronnie Neese, Zach Boiling. Memorial contributions maybe made to Clear Springs Baptist Church building fund.
