Jacqueline” Jackie” Aubrie Johnston was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world suddenly on May 31, 2023 at age 92, after a long and full life.
Predeceased by her parents Edith and Allen Webber of Kitchener Ontario. Jackie’s early life was filled with close relationships with her many Aunts and Uncles and helped in honing her great skill as a Homemaker, Cook, Quilter as well as all things fun in life.
An evening out dancing with her pals at the Bell where she was an operator she met her husband Ken Johnston. Together, they had 2 children: Lois and Don.
Together they owned and operated Butlers Beach and Marine on Puslinch Lake for many years. This led to Jackie’s love of snowmobiling adventures with family and friends throughout most of the remainder of her life.
As one of the first crossing guards in the newly formed City of Cambridge Jackie kept safe many children, who would introduce their children when meeting her out and about Hespeler.
Jackie learned a love of sports from her husband and cheered for the Leafs, and then for whomever was against the Bruins (her husband’s team). She was quick to laugh, and made fast and easy friends with all who were fortunate enough to meet her.
She is survived by her husband Ken, her children, Don and Lois, her grandchildren Steven, Ryan, Leland and Liam, her great grandchildren and dozens of quilts. Her absence in our lives leaves a hole that will not soon be filled.

I loved helping Jackie through my work. She was funny and caring with a great smile . Her enthusiasm for the hockey always made me chuckle .
