Jacqueline Anne Walke Quinn
Westmount, It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anne Quinn with family at her side in Hospice Cape Breton, after a short battle with Cancer.
Born September 4, 1954, in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Sid and Patricia (Campbell) Walke
Anne was a 1975 BA and 1976 BED graduate of Dalhousie University. She was a substitute teacher for many years with the district school board.
Anne enjoyed shopping, dining out, family, special occasions, and many furry creatures.
Anne is survived by her husband Donnie, brother Bud (Marian), sister Marilyn (Dan Krauch), brother-in-law Bob Jardine, and special nieces Stacey Babin, Cheryl Walke, and Kim Finney.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Jacqueline in infancy, sister-in-law Judy Quinn, and special nephew Corey Walters.
We would like to thank the staff at An Cala, Hospice Cape Breton, and the Cancer Centre for their efforts in treating and caring for Anne.
In keeping with Anne’s wishes, a Celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Anne’s memory to Hospice Cape Breton. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
