Jack Royal Smith, age 96, a resident of Hillside Manor in Perth East, passed away on May 3, 2023.
Born in Stratford, Ontario, he is the son of the late Roy and May (Freeman) Smith. Jack was a caring father, a loving husband and a talented musician. His trumpet was heard for decades, far and wide – from the Stratford Boys Band to his own orchestra in Montreal, to the ’39 Casino Band, to name a few.
At Jack’s request, there will be no formal gathering or funeral service held. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice through Rutherford Cremation & Funeral Services, 804 Ontario St., Stratford. / www.jarfh.com / 519-271-5062.
