Ivan Schuknecht Feb 1, 1939 – May 8, 2023
Ivan Eric Schuknecht, of R.R. #1 Elmwood, passed away peacefully at Lee Manor, Owen Sound on Monday, May 8, 2023. He was in his 85th year.
Beloved father of Kevin, Kim (Murray) Carmichael and Krista. Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Kerri (Matt), Mackenzie (Cassandra) and Kaitlynd. Great grandfather to Blaire. Remembered by his sister Elda Threndyle and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents George and Lucinda and brothers Elmer, Howard, and Lloyd.
Ivan farmed his whole life on his third-generation family farm. He truly loved what he did and his passion for farming allowed him to work until the end. His legacy lives on in Schuknecht Farms.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Hanover & District Hospital and Lee Manor for the excellent care and compassion shown to Ivan over the past four months. They are sincerely grateful.
