Irene passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the Love of her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband James Tupper of 65 wonderful years. Loving and proud mother of Julie and her husband Pat VanDenNest of Eden, Karen and her husband Bob Kaufman of Tillsonburg and Jamie and his wife Sheila (Smith) Tupper of Tillsonburg. Cherished and loved grandmother of Josh and Amanda VanDenNest of Delhi, Corey and Jenna VanDenNest of Springfield, Justin and Breanna Kaufman of Dorchester, Candice Kaufman and Stephane Margerin Due Metz of Castlegar, B.C., Travis Kaufman and Amanda Martin of Glen Myer and Tasha Tupper and Rob Umbach of Owen Sound. Especially loved by her great-grandchildren Bradyn, Zachery, Lucas, Cohen, Hadley, Olivia, Natalie, Nathan, and Ezra. She was loved and cherished by everyone in the Tupper family and Safranka family. Predeceased by her parents John and Julia Safranka and brother Dejohn Safranka and her sisters Mary Dinisyk and Annie Horvath. A Public visitation for family and friends will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Wednesday March 1, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The Funeral Service for Irene will be held privately. Doris VanDenEeckhout to officiate the service. Interment will be held in the spring at Dobbie Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association may be done directly with the Charity online or by cheque by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
