Grande-Digue, NB – Virginie Fougere, 97, of Résidence Le P’tit Chez-Nous, passed away on Friday, July 7th, 2023 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Caissie Cape, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and the late Marie Brun.
She was an active dancer and loved music and walking. She was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or in Grande-Digue and the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 33 in Shediac. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
A loving mother that will sadly be missed by her son, Maurice (Linda) of Shediac Bridge; her two daughters: Joanne (Wayne) Steeves of Moncton and Linda (Fernand) Leger of Cap de Cocagne; her four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Marcel (1992); by her seven sisters: Julienne, Lidia, Ozélie, Elizabeth, Exelda, Emma and Rose and also by her two brothers: Jaddus and Freddie.
Visitation will be held from Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Thursday, July 13th, 2023 from 2 pm to 3:45 pm, followed by the service in the chapel at 4 pm.
Interment in La Visitation Parish Cemetery, Grande-Digue.
In Virginie’s memory, a donation can be made to the CHU-Dumont Foundation (Oncology).
