Cocagne, NB – Peacefully at her residence on March 5th, 2023, at the age of 78, Thérèse (Babineau) Caissie passed away surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Rosaireville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Benoit and the late Lorette (Richard) Babineau.
She leaves to mourn her husband of 51 years, Normand, her daughters: Rachel of Grande-Digue and Lynn of Cocagne; her sisters: Alma (late Donald) of Shediac, Elva (late Ulysse); her sister-in-law Florence (late Hubert) Babineau of Cocagne, as well as several nieces, nephews and her long-time friend, Caroline Daigle of Moncton.
She was a gifted knitter and quilt maker, and enjoyed spending time with her daughters, family and talking to her friends on the phone. She also loved her two precious cats: Bouscotte and Béline.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Hubert (2003) and three nephews: Charles, Yvon and Benoit.
The family would like to thank the extra-mural staff, l’unité de dialyse, her family doctor Dr. Vincent Melanson and especially her urologist Dr. Marc Savoie for the care and compassion.
Mame, merci pour tout l’amour et les attentions que tu nous as données pendant toutes ces années. C’est maintenant le temps de passer dans un monde sans souffrance pour te reposer. Bon voyage. La vie ne sera plus jamais pareille sans toi.
Visitation will be held from Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 7 pm. Funeral service will follow at the Passage funeral chapel at 7 pm.
