Moncton, NB – Ronald F. LeBlanc, formerly of College-Bridge, passed away peacefully at Villa du Repos in Moncton on Sunday, January 1st, 2023 at the age of 81.
Born in College-Bridge, NB, on July 4th, 1941, he was the son of the late Antoine and the late Ella LeBlanc (Mills).
Ronald worked as a correctional officer and supervisor at the Dorchester Penitentiary for 30 years.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving wife, Jeannette; his two sons: Bruno of Moncton and Rémi (Hollie) of NF; two grandchildren: Ella and Jérémy; his brothers: Aldore (Colombe) and René (Bernadette); his sisters: Rosella (late Roger) Boudreau, Jeannette (Thu) Pham-Gia, Carmelle (Jean-Paul) Bourgeois, and Pauline (late John) Cormier; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his sister, Lorette; and four brothers: Paul-Émile, Rodolphe, Roméo, and Jean-Robert.
A special thank you to the staff from unit 40-100 and unit 50-100 of the Moncton Hospital as well as the staff at Villa du Repos in Moncton for the care given to Ronald.
Funeral service will be held at a later date.
Donations in Ronald’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of NB.
