It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oscar J. Maillet on June 4th, 2023, leaving behind his loving wife, Ethel; his son, Brian and his very special daughter-in-law, Chantal; his sisters: Florine Allain, Dora Landry, Doris Bastarache, and Georgina Maillet; as well as his grandchildren, Caitlin and Alex; and much-loved nieces and nephews.
Oscar was born in Saint-Thomas, NB. He spent 30 years of his life in Waltham, MASS, where he met his first wife. We worked as a geriatric caregiver and also worked as a barber, until he retired to become a gardener and a pumpkin grower. He was also a hockey and ringette grandpa, which he loved.
Visitations will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Friday, June 9th, 2023 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to the Moncton Hospital or to the Tree of Hope in Oscar’s memory.
