It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lionel Johnson, 78, on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Born in Rogersville, he was the son of the late François and the late Lina Johnson (Aucoin).
Lionel will be sadly missed by his brother, Alphonse (Emerise) Johnson of Grand Barachois; his sister, Bertha (late Marc) Leger of Shediac; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Demerise; his brother, Alphonse; and sisters: Baby Germaine, Rita, and Andréa.
Lionel worked as a brick layer and worked the United States, and western Canada.
Visitation will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Friday, September 15th, 2023 from 1:00pm until time of service. The funeral service will take place in the chapel at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lionel can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
