Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB – Léonide Richard, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Élie and the late Émilienne Richard (Savoie).
Léonide will be sadly missed by his children: Léonard Richard of Saint-Antoine and Annette Bourgeois (Mike) of Moncton; his grandchildren: Melissa (Ben), Natalie (Cody), Nadine, Jérémie (Gabrielle)and Derick (Shanie); his siblings: Huberte Caissie (Roger) of Bouctouche, Fernand Richard (Maureen) of Connecticut, USA and Joseph “Joe” (Rose-Marie) of Gardner, Mass, USA; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother: Oscar(Clémentine).
As per Léonide’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Sainte-Marie, where he will rest in peace with his parents.
In Léonide’s memory, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
