With sadness the family of Herman Evink announce his passing on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Margarete and predeceased by his wife Dirkje. Loving father of Tim (Bessie), Janet, and Herman Derrick (Joanne). Cherished grandfather of Chris (Shannon), Michael, Hannah (Sean), Emily (Nick), and Catherine. Great-grandfather of Harper, Jordynn, Tarynn, Clark, Norah, Maddox, Gwen, London, Robin and Gracelynn. Also missed by Margarete’s children Angela (James) and Don (Mary Clair), grandchildren Eric (Jacqueline), Alexander, Scott (Jen) and Aimee (David), and great-grandchildren Ashley, Nathan, Lawson and Lennon. Dear brother of Cobi (Dik) Eikelboom, Geerte Pel, Tim (Hannie) Evink and Belie Evink, all in the Netherlands.
Visitation at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at EBENEZER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 607 Dynes Road, Burlington on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 12 noon, followed by a private family interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Timothy Christian School would be appreciated by the family.
