Henry Lee MacDonald, of Sillikers, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 81.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late John and Rena (Stewart) MacDonald. He worked as a carpenter prior to his retirement.
He will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Carlyn MacDonald of Sillikers and her family; one brother Harry MacDonald (Heather) of Miramichi; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Helen, Irene, Doris, and Edna; and his brothers Ralph, Frank, Leonard, Jackie, Bernie, Joe, Bervel, and Angus.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Boom Road Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 2 pm, at Boom Road Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Jody Holmes officiating. Interment will take place in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA.
