The passing of Helen Faith Morgan of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Edward “Buddy” Morgan, occurred on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Shannex-Thomas Hall. Born on May 26, 1932 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Earl and Leona (Carr) Jacques.
Helen is survived by her children, Tony Morgan (Mona), Dianne Morgan, Judy-Lynn Morehouse (Rick), Susan Ervine (David), Sonya Flemming; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; siblings; Barbara Vincent and Earl Jacques (Shirley); sister in law, Maria Jacques; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was known by many as “Precious” and she lived up to the name. She was dedicated to her family and her faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved life and lived everyday to the fullest. She loved to laugh and brought joy to so many with her quick wit and stories of days gone by. She loved holidays, games, drives, lobster rolls and gatherings with her family and friends.
Helen, along with the love of her life Ed, ran the Holyoke Motel until her retirement. Upon retirement she spent her winters in Florida soaking up the sun. She way pure joy and enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Besides her parents and husband, Helen was predeceased by her infant daughter, Shelia Mae Morgan; daughter in law, Wendy Morgan; son in law, Dan Chute; infant brother, Phillip Jacques; brother, Paul Jacques; brother in law, Donnie Vincent; and sister in law, Dorothy Jacques.
Visitation will take place at Hope City, 429 Clements Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 12-2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Joseph Beesley, Rev. Justin Beesley and Rev. Wayne Flowers officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery, Fredericton. Family would like to thank her granddaughter Dennica Edgett (Morgan) with whom she lived in her later years for her love and dedication to Helen. Also a special thank you to Stephanie Johnson as well as the staff at Shannex-Thomas Hall for their care and compassion given to Helen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope City.
