Peacefully, at the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, our dear, sweet Augusta passed away on January 19 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Edgar Corrin, loving mother to Dianne Adèle Corrin-Kiziak (Garry), Lynn Marie Spano (Francesco), and Marc Phillip Corrin, cherished grandmother to Taryn, Lindsay, Maria, Carina, and Flavia, and great grandmother to eleven great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Marc and Adèle LeBlanc of Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, sister of Anne Davenport (Lorne), and sister of the late Dorothy Babin (Elmer), Bernice Fox (Reginald), Francis LeBlanc (Isabella), and Alice LeBlanc (Delphis).
Augusta enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and crafting. She was devoted to the church throughout her life, using her talents to make alter cloths and many items for the annual bazaar. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 20 years.
Augusta leaves this world having lived a full and fulfilled life, forever remembered and missed.
Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. North, Waterdown on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 715 Centre Road, Waterdown, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Reception in the Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Augusta’s honour to the Carpenter House Hospice, 2250 Parkway Drive, Burlington, ON, L7P 1T1.
