Harold Somers

Harold Cleveland Somers, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 79.
Born in Matthew Settlement, he was the son of the late Wilson and Ida (Hamilton) Somers. He was a retired school teacher from North & South Esk Regional High School, and a member of Little South West Baptist Church (River Church).
He will be greatly missed by his wife Sandra (Blackmore) Somers of Miramichi; daughter Kari Lynne Bryenton (Rick) of Miramichi; grandson Logan Bryenton of Campbellton; sister Shirley Harrs of Miramichi; sisters-in-law Barbara Somers and Judy Somers; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Dwayne Somers; brothers Mark, Lloyd, Bernard, Jack, Donnie, and Frank; and sisters Edna, Kay, Pauline, Doreen, and Blanche.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2 pm, from River Church (Little Southwest Baptist Church), with Pastor Les Somers officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Little Southwest Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
