It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Harold Joseph Nash of Fortune announces his passing. Harold passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, at the age of 88.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Marjorie of 63 years; daughter, Glenda Rose (Claude) of Paradise; step-brother, Ambrose Langdon (Maxine) of Gaultois; 4 grandchildren, Danielle (Briant) of Fort McMurray, Alicia (Ryan) of Ontario, Allison (Jonathon) of Paradise, Alexandria (Stephen) of Paradise; 7 great-grandchildren, Conner, Kennedy, Penelope, Joyner, Reese, Rachel and Madelyn. Nieces, Roberta (Deon), Pamela (Lester) Brittany, Bradley. Nieces and nephews, Debbie, Jeanne, Dawn Marie, David, Krista, Ryan, Jeanette, Alfred; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Harold was predeceased by parents, Eva and Ambrose Nash, James Langdon; son, Burchie Nash; parents in law, Mary and Henry Bobbett; great grandson, Caleb; brother, Thomas Nash; sister in law, Ruby; brothers in law, Charlie and William.
Harold leaves a legacy of love of Family, his wisdom, his Christian faith, his hard work etiquette and his gratefulness for a good life. Harold enjoyed his many visits from family and friends. He loved a great game of cards and a sociable with family and friends.
Many thanks to all the awesome staff at the Blue Crest Nursing Home. He loved his beautiful Blue Crest Family. He spoke highly of all the staff, your generosity, your kindness, your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. He loved his hugs from you all. Harold and Marjorie got to share the Cuddle Bed during his last journey. Thanks to the Blue Crest Staff for their hard work. Many thanks to the Paramedics and staff at the Dr. S. Beckley Health Centre. Many thanks to Rev, Robynn Toal for her support and spiritual guidance. Special thanks to mom’s homecare worker, Marjorie Caines. Marjorie your kindness and caring will never be forgotten. He loved when you came in each day to talk to you and he thoroughly enjoyed your homemade buns. Thank you for the many visits to us at the home. Marjorie you became a part of the family. Thanks to nieces Roberta and Pamela for your support and kindness during Harold’s final days. He loved you guys and treated you as one of his own kids.

The Nash Family will be accepting visitors at All Saints Anglican Chapel ,Springhill Road ,Fortune, NL A0E 1P0 on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church on Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
Interment to follow at All Saints Anglican Cemetery. In Harold’s memory donations may be made to the Blue Crest Nursing Home or All Saints Anglican Cemetery Fund or flowers gratefully accepted.
