Obituary
H. Robert Jamieson, 82, of Moncton, passed away at Albert House Hospice on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Harley and Sylvia (Steeves) Jamieson.
Bob retired as a supervisor with Marine Atlantic after 33 years of service. He then went to work for Lawson’s Fireplace Store for a few years. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Moncton Fire Department for many years with the rank of captain. He competed in the New Brunswick Fireman’s Curling Provincials and represented New Brunswick at two national championships. He was a member of First Baptist Church Moncton. He was a member of the Acacia Lodge #49 F. and A.M. A former member of the Moncton Curlers Association. Bob loved time at his cottage in McKee’s Mills and his many winters spent with Carol in Florida. He enjoyed fishing, curling, sailing and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Bob will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Jamieson (nee Baker); son, Gary Jamieson (Krista); granddaughter, Mikayla Jamieson; sister, Daryl Church (Don); brother, Greg Jamieson (Sue); as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A time to share memories with Bob’s family will be held from the Fergusons Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
