Obituary
ROSS, Guy Duncan – 72, of Lower Woods Harbour, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on April 14, 2023. Born on June 26, 1950, in Inverness, Cape Breton, NS, he was a son of the late Charles R. and Audrey (Ross) Ross. Guy greatly enjoyed his time on the water lobster fishing and also enjoyed driving to the wharfs. He had a great sense of humour and always had a witty comment. He was a great lover of animals. He greatly enjoyed visits from friends and loved sitting back and relaxing at his picnic table, taking in the sun and scenery of the water. He had a passion for Cape Breton, where he was born, and loved his trips there. He is survived by his common-law partner, Lillian Nickerson; his children, Shawn (Tammie) Ross, Shane (Andrea) Ross, Sonya (Peter) Ross, Charles (Kathleen) Ross, Samantha (Andy) Atwood, Jason Nickerson; siblings, Bernice (Roy) Sullivan, Curtis (Trudy) Ross, Terry Notte (Donnie), Vernon Ross (Marilyn); 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Shannon Ross. The family would like to take this time to give a special ‘thank you’ to the nurses of Yarmouth Regional Hospital, 4 North and also to Dr. Murphy and his favourite nurse, Pam, at the oncology department. Arrangements have been entrusted to H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. There will be a service and interment held at a later date.
