1939 ~ 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Grace Laureen Ackerman wish to announce her sudden passing on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, in Prince Albert, SK.
Grace is survived by her family, Nelson (Sandy), Dianne (Gerry Rollins), and Fred; her grand-children, Scott (Mackenzie), Patrick (Farah), Parris and Karletta; and five wonderful grandsons, Tristan, Hunter, Chase, Alex, and Shayne.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her parents, Eva & Fredrick Elvin; her in-laws, Robert & Helen Ackerman; her brothers, Ken & Douglas Elvin; her brothers-in-law, Ross Ackerman, and Cliff Burley. Numerous nephews & nieces.
Grace was born in Guelph Township, ON, on May 3, 1939. She married the love of her life, Robert on May 3, 1958. They lived and raised their family in Galt, ON. until 1972. They then moved to Little Bear Lake, SK and operated Little Bear Lake Resort until 1991. They also operated the Little Bear Lake Campground until 1999.
Grace moved to Prince Albert, SK, in 2001.
Grace loved gospel music and reading her daily bible scriptures and spending time with her family. Family visits and her sense of humour will be greatly missed.
As special thank you to the wonderful staff at Nelson’s Care Home, Prince Albert, SK.
At Grace’s request, her family will celebrate her life privately.
