Grace Margaret Garbutt of Lakefield, formerly Toronto, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Extended Care, Lakefield, after a brief illness. Grace was predeceased by her parents Walter and Emily Garbutt (nee Huckle) and her brother Eric.
Grace taught high school French in Peterborough, Windsor and Toronto. She was a member of her United Church Choir for many years. She enjoyed travelling and the symphony.
She will be fondly remembered by her caregiver Susan Weaver of Southampton. She will be greatly missed by her friend of many years Joan Miller of Owen Sound.
A private family graveside in Walkerton Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to Cameron’s Cremation & Funeral Services, Walkerton.
