Gordon Stanley Vigen
1932 – 2023
Gordon passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 30, 2023, at the age of 91, while residing in the Royal Oak Village in Lacombe.
Gordon lived a full life with his family farming south of Castor. He supplemented the farm with a variety of jobs which included water well drilling, auction market penning, running a grader and delivering cream. Even though he was busy working, he always found time for camping, fishing, curling, hunting and woodworking.
Gordon is survived by his 3 daughters, Geri (Gregg) Knight, Wendy (Bill) Holman and Linda (Cecil) Yates; five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Marie in 2019; parents George and Selma Vigen; sisters Agnes and Evelyn.
A private graveside service is planned for a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
