It is with saddened, broken hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Ray Ware on Saturday, September 2, 2023, after a long battle with COPD, at Erie Shores Health Care, at the age of 78. Born on March 14, 1945 in Leamington, son of the late Gord and Eleanor Ware (nee Chambers), Gordon now joins his late brothers Harold and Fred. He will be sadly missed by his brother Bob Ware (Marlene), his son Tim, his loving wife Liz and her four sons and daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren. Gordon will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and those who call him uncle.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter who took pride in all of his endeavours. Gordon was an all around good sport, willing to help anyone, anytime, day or night.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Friendship Club, 171 Erie Street North, Wheatley, Ontario.
