Scharf, Gordon Kenneth
Peacefully at home, on Thursday, March 9, 2023 Gordon Kenneth Scharf at the age of 79, with his wife and daughter by his side, went to Heaven to meet his Lord and Saviour. Gordon is survived by his wife, Sharon of 35 years, daughter Rhonda Scharf (Warren Munn) of Kemptville, and Troy Scharf (Rachel Meldrum) of Richmond. He is also survived by his stepchildren Lynn (Randy) Govitz of Beaverton, MI., Tim Ware of Lansing, MI, and Tina (Tom) Hayes of Beaverton, MI. Gordon has been blessed with 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Gilbert (Elaine) Scharf of Greely, Wayne (Karen) Scharf of Winchester, Melvin (Sharon) Scharf of Kenmore, Marlene (Butch) Leader of Metcalfe, and Gail (Bob) Biickert of Winchester and many nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Elisha and Hazel Scharf, sisters Joy Meldrum and Brenda Rushton, sister-in-law Donna Scharf and his precious grandson Leland Munn and great-grand daughter Lisa Finniss. Gord was a long-time attendee of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in North Gower. He retired from the IBEW in 2009. Gordon enjoyed travelling, camping, family, and pulling pranks on others. He would want to be remembered for loving his wife, family, and Lord. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday March 13. Funeral Tuesday at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church 6556 Prince of Wales Drive, North Gower for service at 11 am.
