Peacefully, surrounded by family, Lord Gord departed this world. He was born to parents Gertrude and Robert in Ottawa. Mourned by children: Dwayne (Karen), Deborah, Brenda (Gilles Russell) and Elizabeth. Gord leaves behind 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers: Bob (Mim), John (Mavis) and Buster (Lyla-Mae.)
Gord loved to make people laugh, he was always ready with a quip, joke or sarcastic comment. He loved his work whether it was insurance salesman, milkman, security guard or all-around helping hand; according to him he “never worked a day in his life”. Gord was a proud 43-year member of Alcoholics Anonymous, crediting the program and his AA buddies with his recovery.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 11am to 1pm to celebrate the life of Gordon Richard Lewis.
