KHOURY, Gloria –
Born in October 1930, Gloria passed away on September 8th 2023, a month shy of her 93rd birthday. Gloria was born in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to Canada later in life.
She was a remarkable person. She loved and enjoyed family and friends. She embraced life. After marrying John, she worked side by side with him to build a business and at the same time, raise a family. She was a great cook and loved entertaining. Her generosity and hospitality was renowned as was her sense of humour. To know her was to love her. With her personality and her willingness to help she left her mark and will be remembered by lifelong friendships. Gloria and John were married for nearly 70 years when he passed away in 2021.
Gloria will be greatly missed by her children, Juliet, Patricia and Edward (Renée), her grandsons Jonathon and Matthew along with great grandsons Jason and Christopher and her sister Marie. She was predeceased by her brothers Amin, Austin and Edward and her sister Amelia. She leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, friends and their children who know her as Auntie Gi and Tita Gloria.
Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Blvd), on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 11 a.m. until service time in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon.
