It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Anselmini on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Guelph General Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. Giuseppe was in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Iolanda (Ferratone) Anselmini. Dear father of Attilio John and his wife Ferne of Cambridge and Adriano and his wife Angelica of Guelph. Loved Nonno of Joey and his wife Tara and Carmelo and bisnonno of Isabella. Dear brother of Michele and his wife Vittoria, the late Vittoria and her late husband Giacomo Belcastro, Annunziata and her late husband George Luccisano, the late Vincenzo and his wife Catina, the late Francesco and his wife Fortunata, Catina and her late husband Giovanni Carere, Natalina and her husband Arturo Finoro and the late Angela Dawes and her husband Jim Dawes. Giuseppe will be missed by his many relatives and friends especially by his dear friend Rozika Precepa.
Giuseppe was born on August 28, 1932 in S. Giorgio Morgeto, Reggio Calabria. At the age of 24 years, Giuseppe along his parents and siblings immigrated to Canada in 1956. Together they found a new way of life but never forgetting their Italian heritage.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home- Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 1:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Road, Guelph. Entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Hwy 6, Guelph.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Sick Kids Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated. Donations can be made in-person at the funeral or online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
