Obituary For Gisele Marie Paule Jebb
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gisele Marie Paule Jebb, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Grovedale, AB, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the age of 85, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Gisele was born in Jean Cote, AB, on May 3, 1937, to Henry and Marie (nee Tremblay) Simard. She had 9 siblings. Gisele spent her early years in the Jean Cote area. In 1957, she married Magloire Brochu, and they had four children: Lise, Stella, Danny, and Pauline.
In 1970, Gisele moved to Grande Prairie with her Children. In 1985, Gisele married Ken Jebb and moved to the farm in Grovedale where she lived until March 2022 when she suffered a stroke. Gisele moved to the Grande Prairie Care Centre where she resided until her passing.
Gisele loved the farm life and being outdoors. She spent many hours tending to her cattle, garden, and flowers.
Gisele was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Gisele will be sadly missed by her children: Lise (Brent) Arac, Stella (Derek) Smith, Danny (Dede) Brochu, and Pauline Brochu; brother Andre (Nicole) Simard; grandchildren: Jamie Monette, Christine (Darcy) Tomkow, Katie Arac, Barry (Stacey) Manysiak, Derek (Vanessa) Manysiak, Christa (Thane) Leclerc, Vanessa McEntegart, Stephanie (Brian) Cloutier, Ashley Brochu (Tyler), Patrick (Katie) Brochu, Shaundra (Trevor) Siebert, and Scott (Alena) Ryder; as well as great-grandchildren: Lily, Dorian, James Monette, Reese, Tyler Tomkow, Rylan, Kayson, Brayden, Avery, Benjamyn Manysiak, Josephine, Rosalyn Manysiak, Haven, Griffin Leclerc, Conner, Cara, Catelyn Cloutier, Myla Brochu, Dayne, Rory Brochu, McKenzie, Kenna Siebert, Camryn, and Lincoln Ryder.
Gisele was predeceased by her husband Ken Jebb; special friend Tom Mostowich; parents Henry and Marie Simard; siblings: Leonide Savard, Marthe Simard, Gabriel Simard, Raymonde Monette, Jean-Baptiste Simard, Georges Simard, Guy Simard, and Roland Simard; son in-law Jean Monette; as well as great-granddaughter Baby Everly Manysiak.
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 6:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 2:00pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (10402 102 St.). Interment to Follow at Grovedale Cemetery.
A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Gisele’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.
