Surrounded by his loving family, Gilles Cormier, passed
away on Tuesday April 18, 2023, at the age of 61. Born in Shediac, he
was the son of Juliette Cormier of Shediac and the late Valmond
Cormier (2018).
Prior to his recent retirement, Gilles worked as a
mechanic for the city of Moncton for 30 years. When needed, Gilles was
always ready to lend a helping hand. He loved decorating the house in
the winter with Christmas lights and spending quality time at the
cottage during the summer months.
Besides his mother, he will be sadly missed by his
loving wife, Maria
Cormier; his precious dog, Coba, whom he loved so much; four siblings:
Roland (Camilla) of Grand-Digue, Janice Léger (Raymond) of
Shediac, Marcelle Bourque (Joel) of Shediac, and Michel (Andrea) of
Shediac, as well as several nieces and
nephew.
He was predeceased by a brother, Léon
(2014).
By request, there will be no visitation and no funeral
service. Inurnment will take place in the Frenette Columbarium,
Shediac. In memory of Gilles, a contribution to
Pépère Boîte à Lunch
(Grande-Digue) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the
