It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing at the Extendicare Timmins on Friday June 23, 2023. He is survived by his 5 children Tracy Bouchard (Alain), Vicky Comisso (Jeff), Sherry Alcock (Rick), Maenda Fortier (Erin) and Samuel Fortier (Alex). Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren; Melanie, Justin, Brigette, Dennis, Natalie, Steven, Bradley, Mathilda and Holden as well as 5 great grandchildren; Kloe, Payge, Haylee, Hunter and Charlotte. Dear brother of Linda Brousseau (Leonce). He is survived by his 2nd wife Louise Hebert. Predeceased by his first wife Brenda Hebert, his parents Elizabeth and Ernest Hebert and his brothers Wilfred “Bud”, Raymond and Cleo. He will be missed by his best friend Maggie.
The family would like to thank all the nurses, PSW’s and Doctors at Extendicare for all their care and compassion that they provided to him.
Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private service at a later date. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice in Gilbert’s memory would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECPETION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, On.
