Beloved father, friend and husband, George Kasch passed away at the age of 56 in Kamloops BC. George was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Always near and forever in our hearts.
George was born in Ontario, Canada. He was one of six children born to his mother Ruth Anne Huckle. Anne’s common-law husband, Peter Kasch adopted George as an adult, changing George’s name to Kasch. George fondly reminisced about his life as a young boy raised by his Grandparents at their farm. George excelled at woodworking and making beautiful cabinets.
George forever grieved the loss of his young son born of his first common law wife, who died in his crib at age of 6 months, while George was at work. George with his 2nd common-law wife of over 22 years, Brenda moved to Kamloops where they loved living in the hills North of the City. George took on jobs where he could work with his hands, building, fixing, ripping apart, and putting back together again. George was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back.
George is predeceased by his wife, BRENDA LYNN WILSON nee KOBELKA who passed away peacefully on May 10, 2020 in Kamloops. George always kept in touch with Brenda’s parents in Ontario. Brenda’s children who were close to George fondly referred to him as “Poppa George.” George is survived by his mother.
George will be laid to rest at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in the Hillside Cemetery, 750 Notre Dame Dr., Kamloops.
“May God give to you his comfort, light, and peace and the blessing of God be upon you, and remain with you this day and for ever. Amen.”
George is reunited with his beloved Brenda as “Spirits in the Sky.” “Give them eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on them forever.”
