George Bellerose
January 14, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of George Daniel Bellerose on January 5, 2023 at the age of 74.
George is survived by his daughter Katherine; siblings: Barbara (Bill), Richard, Jarry, Henry, Linda (Blain), Marion (Victor), Ralph (Lena), Florence, Douglas, Jocelyn (Mike), Frances, Margaret (Tony), and Kenneth; and his many nieces and nephews.
George was born January 29, 1948 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. George started his career in the military then moved to private security that preformed services throughout the provinces of Canada, primarily in the Yukon and Northwest Territories in the 1970’s. After his service with private security, George obtained experience and skills from various employments including Winnipeg Welding, Air Liquide, and Gage Services, before finding his home with Canadian Blood Services. George inspired many friends and colleagues within his 18 years of dedication.
George had a brilliant, creative, and innovative mind and took great pride in his ceramic and wood craftsmanship. In his early life he enjoyed hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors throughout Canada. He later enjoyed playing chess, card games, and spending time with his close friends and family.
George had a magnificent life full of adventure, experience, and service. After a year of battling cancer, we mourn the loss and treasure the memories of a wonderful friend, brother, and father.
Cremation had taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place 2:00pm-4:00pm on April 29, 2023 at Canad Inns 2100 McPhillips St.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba.
