Obituary
Gary VanBuskirk, 77, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at Villa Du Repos on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Frederick and Bertha (Beaman) VanBuskirk.
Gary was retired from Eastern Bakeries/Canada Bread as a Supervisor, was a long-time member of St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, loved watching sports, playing cards, and socializing with family and friends for weekly coffee or at the trailer in Sandy Beach.
Gary will be sadly missed by his son, Todd VanBuskirk (Joanne) of Conception Bay South, NFLD; cherished grandchildren, Molly and William VanBuskirk; sisters, Joan Bleeker, Nancy Richard, Uncle Jeff Porter and sister-in-law, Anita VanBuskirk.
In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by wife, Bernadette VanBuskirk (Feb 10, 2023) daughter, Krista Joy Porter (Feb.4, 2016); brother Doug VanBuskirk, sister Sandy Meredith, brother-in-law, Frank Richard.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home on Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate Gary’s Life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday June 29 at 11:00 am with Rev. Charles Broderick presiding. Reception to follow the service. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Cemetery.
