Obituary
Frederick “Fred” W. Coates, 81, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 10, 2023. Born in Coates Mills, he was the son of the late Wallace and June Coates.
Fred in his early years served in the RCAF; and then held several jobs over the years, most notably was driving truck, bus and cab; he also did welding, and owned and operated several driving instructing schools over the years. He enjoyed his time at his camp, being outdoors, playing guitar, fixing cars, and building miniature houses.
He will be missed by his daughters, Bonnie Whitney and her family Natasha (Ryan), Brittany (Kyle), Alyssa (James), Kara (Courtney), Jenna (Darian), Benjamin and Mia; and daughter, Angela Bourgeois (Rob) and her family Vanessa (Mark), Emma, Matthew and Sophie; great grandchildren, Lexi, Landon, Lylah, Easton, Everly, Axel, Jordan and Desmond; brother, Clarence; as well as several extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Brenda and Gloria; as well as brothers, Junior, George and Bill.
In keeping with Fred’s wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
