It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Freda, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at LaSalle, Quebec.
Born in Summerside, PEI to Dorothy and Raymond Noonan. She was predeceased by her husband, André and her daughter Susan. Mother to Dianne, Carmen (Antoine), Debbie and Andrea (Maurice). Grandy will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, David (Bluma), Deborah (Yonah), Tabitha (Andrew), Charlie, Katie (Allen), Roxanne and Georges. Proud great grandmother to Dovi, Rivka, Mendel, Baruch, Nachman and Chana. Special Islander cousins, the late Fred (Marjorie), Ralph (Diane), Dianne (Keith), Gary (Marg), James (Nancy), Carolyn (Hinson), and Dorothy (Gilbert). Brother-in-law, David Caza and good friends, Diana, Ann and Louis
Freda was loved and appreciated by many. After raising five daughters, she enjoyed her time working at the Montreal Gazette and travelling with her good friends: the Belecs, the Aitons and the Burkes. She was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League and of St. John Brébeuf Parish. She enjoyed line dancing and spending time with friends at the LaSalle D & D 50 + Club. She loved a good joke but could never tell one.
