HOELSCHER, Fred, of Beloeil passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of February 2, 2023. Fred was born December 31, 1934 in St-Boniface, Manitoba to Adolf Hoelscher and Lily Luckhaus. Fred was an astute businessman who put his heart and soul into growing two companies he was very proud of: Montreal Reefer Service with his brothers followed by Trans Artik Inc. with his children. During his life, Fred, lover of the outdoors, was able to enjoy hobby farming, sailing, fishing, peacefulness at his cottage, as well as travelling by motorhome. He will be deeply missed by his wife Claire Pouliot, his children Susan, Kathleen (Ivor), Dean, and Louise, and his step-children Mario (Carole), and Marie-Chantal (Pierre). Fred is predeceased by his brother Ralph, and his step-daughter Manon. He leaves to mourn his brothers Herman and Herb, his sisters Vera and Ursula, and many other family members and friends. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of CHSLD Marguerite-Adam. A celebration of Fred’s life will take place later in the spring.
HOELSCHER, Fred, fils de feu Adolf Hoelscher et feu Lily Luckhaus, né à Saint-Boniface le 31 décembre 1934, a rendu l’âme paisiblement dans son sommeil à Beloeil le 2 février 2023. Fred était un entrepreneur astucieux qui a consacré sa vie aux deux compagnies dont il était très fier, l’une d’elle, Montreal Reefer Service qu’il détenait avec ses frères et l’autre, Trans Artik Inc. avec ses enfants. Fred, amoureux de la nature, a vécu plusieurs années sur sa fermette, à voguer à bord de son bateau, à apprécier la tranquillité à son chalet et à voyager en autocaravane. Il laisse dans le deuil sa femme Claire Pouliot, ses enfants Susan, Kathleen (Ivor), Dean et Louise, ses beaux-enfants Mario (Carole), Marie-Chantal (Pierre) et feu Manon, ainsi que ses frères feu Ralph, Herman et Herb et ses sœurs Vera et Ursula. La famille tient à remercier sincèrement le personnel soignant du CHSLD Marguerite-Adam. Une célébration en hommage à sa vie sera tenue au printemps 2023.
