Obituary
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my husband and best friend Frank on July 11, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.
Frank was born on February 26, 1945 in St. Paul, Alberta. From there he moved to Edmonton, and in 1975 to Ponoka. While in Ponoka he worked for the Town of Ponoka, was a volunteer fireman on the Ponoka Fire Department, Ponoka Stampede volunteer, and drove the Lions Club Community Bus.
Frank was a man with a strong work ethic and was never without a job, whether it was driving truck hauling asphalt, pipe, building oil leases, or whatever. He loved doing things for other people. Frank enjoyed golfing and camping, and going to Blueberry Hill RV Park in Athabasca where we spent many summers with our BBH family. Another of Frank’s loves was his dogs. In 2017 he moved to Stony Plain where he remained until his passing.
Frank leaves to mourn his loss his wife Linda; his sisters Brenda (Frank) Baker, Judy (Norm) Winnitoy, and Wendy Roberts; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
As per Frank’s request, there will not be a formal funeral service.
