Frances Jean McNaughton (nee Finkle)
November 22, 1933 – January 24, 2023
Fran passed away in the Perth Hospital on Tuesday January 24th, 2023 in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her parents Fan and Bill Finkle (Belleville) and by her husband of 62 years, Lt. Gen. Donald McNaughton. Fran leaves behind her daughter Jean Dabros (Mike) and her son Ian (Kim). She was a loving grandmother to Dana (Owan), Emilie (Ryan), Meg, Blair (Josi), Drew and Mary (Jake) and loving great grandmother to Grayson and Skylar. Following 38 years as a military spouse, Fran and Don retired to Drummond Centre where she was focused on family and was a driving force in the community. Following Don’s death, she was a resident of Lanark Lifestyles. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Friday February 3rd, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in St. Paul’s United Church, 25 Gore St. W., Perth on Saturday February 4th, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a reception in the Church Hall. Interment, Prestonvale Cemetery. In remembrance of Fran, those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital (Perth site) Foundation or St. Paul’s United Church, Perth.
