FOLEY, John Nelson
After a lengthy battle with dementia, it is with sadness that our family announces the passing of John Nelson Foley on April 8, 2023, at the age of 78. John was raised in Quinnville Quebec to both the late Michael and Nora (Crilley) Foley. Beloved husband of Donna (Maloney) and father to Cathy (Mike Code), Janet (Randy Tysick) and Dennis (Christine Lauzon). Loving grandfather to Brianna, Alina and Alyssa, and “John Boy” to Adam Roy, Stephen, and Jennifer Code.
Dear brother to Mary Sartison (late Glenn), Theresa Carisse (late Bob), brother-in-law to Patsy Foley, June Foley, and Sandra Maloney (Mervyn). Many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Predeceased by his brothers Lionel and Frank, sisters Mildred (late Doug Palombo), and Shirley (late Lucien Maisonneuve) and sister-in law Phyllis Maloney (late Jussi Finnila).
A gathering of remembrance and celebration will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 462, 294 Cyr Ave, Vanier (Ottawa), ON, on April 29th starting at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with words of memory at 2:00 pm, for all those wishing to attend to pay their condolences.
Special thanks to the staff at the Peter D Clark Centre who provided outstanding care of John during his time at their facility.
As an expression of sympathy, donations would be appreciated to the Peter D Clark Centre Long Term Care or MayCourt Hospice Care.
