It was at the former that she met and married James Maxon in 1953 and moved to Sarasota in 1959. Jim passed away in 1974 and she later met and married Walter Mullin from Elkhart, Indiana and Sarasota in 1977. After Walter’s passing in 2002, Flo travelled back and forth to Harbour Grace where she also maintained a home.
Flo was predeceased by her sisters Beatrice, Anne, Louise and her brothers Donald, Gordon, Albert, and Llewellyn.
Flo did not have children but had many nephews and nieces left to mourn her loss. Family members include Thomas and Donna McLaughlin, James McLaughlin, Elizabeth and James Warykas from Connecticut; Donna Cady, Michelle Austin, and Maureen and Jeff Hanna of California; Charles and JoAnne Archibald, Barbara Archibald, Faye and Keith Foote, Joan and Cyril Durnford, Evan Crane, Tracy and Colleen, from Newfoundland, Stephen from South Carolina, and Georgina from Washington. Other family members include Rose Crane, Robina Crane and lifelong friend Jean Bickham.
