Obituary
Evelyn G. Roy, 100, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at Albert House Hospice on Monday, April 10, 2023. Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Susan (Keough) Watson.
Evelyn retired as a stenographer after many years of service. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, needle point, watching CNN, Jeopardy and was an avid sports fan.
She will be missed by her children, Patricia Roy, David Roy (Phyliss) and Susan Cyr (Carl); grandchildren, Jason, Tina, Phil and Robyn; great grandchildren, Ewen, Hayes, Gavin, Molly, Colton, Brock, Geri and Sonny.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Roy; sister, Lillian; and brothers, Albert and Andrew.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Followed immediately by a Funeral Liturgy in the Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Light Refreshments will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe at a later date.
