Evelyn Joan Geard (nee Humes)
November 17, 1931-May 17, 2023
Evelyn passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre at the age of 91.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Edward (Ted), her son Warren, brother Bob (Jan) and brother-in-law Andy. Her stepchildren Brian (Sheri), Gail (Neil) and Susan. Her grandchildren Nola (Devon), Grant (Katrina) and their mother Elaine, and Shaylene. Her niece Connie, and nephews Russell, Wayne, Dale, Dion and their families, and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her daughters Arlene and Katherene, sister Sylvia and parents Walter and Lillie Humes.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre for their care and compassion during her stay in the hospital.
As per Evelyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
