Obituary of Eva Margaret Bethel
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in her 88th year surrounded by loved ones. Eva was born in Ireland and studied nursing in England, eventually making her way to Hamilton, Ontario in her early twenties. Eva worked at various hospitals, spending the last 30+ years of her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Eva will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Eva was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Sarah Bethel, siblings Dora Gillanders (Eric), Geordie Bethel, Betty McKee and Billy Bethel. Eva is survived by her siblings Jimmy Bethel, Sadie Breaden (John) and Sam Bethel (Helen). Beloved aunt to her nieces Anne, Dorothy, Sharon, Johanna, Andrea, and their families.
Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home located at 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, June 8 from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. To watch a Livestream of the Funeral Service, CLICK HERE at the time of the service. Interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated, in lieu of flowers.
