France, Eva Violet – 83, Wentworth passed away peacefully Thursday, July 20, 2023 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro with her children by her side. Eva was the daughter of the late James and Laura (Duncan) Cooke. She is survived by sons George (Vivan) France, Oxford; Keith France, Pembroke, ON; Lawrence (Lucy) France; Crows Mills; daughter, Laura (Frank) Stewart, Wentworth; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by husband, Walter; daughter Marion; brothers, Arthur Cooke and Georgie Cooke; sister, Bernice Kaulback. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., followed immediately by funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Oxford. Donations may be made in Eva’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
